Battery reset function didn't work

I bought this specifically to reset the battery charge function on my 2013 escape. This device could not access this function. I ended up having to use the ForScan software to reset the battery registry.

Doesn't Read ABS Best in Tools & Equipment

Everything is fine but it won't connect or read ABS in my Ford F-150. I bought it specifically for this reason and of course I'm very upset about it. I used a friend's scanner that was able to connect and get error codes but for some reason this scanner isn't reading them.

Save time and money

Easy to use, works great. The booklet is easy to read and will help DIYers to read and clear codes. Saved a lot of money because you didn't stop by for a diagnosis. The check engine light came on. Hooked up the scanner and put out the spark plug code. After replacing the spark plugs and dust bags, the check engine light came on.

Our F350 is back on course!

We had trouble diagnosing a problem with our f350. The warning light came on and the car would not start. We charged the batteries and got new batteries but still nothing. We ordered this thinking it would give us a code which still doesn't fix it but it was able to reset the PCM and clear the security light and it started right away! So happy with it!

Difficult to use. on code readers and scan tools

I don't like this product for several reasons based on: 1. The instructions are complicated and confusing. 2. The font in the user manual is very small. 3. Inconvenient for the user. 4. No protective sleeve or drawstring pouch. A NOTICE. My review was delayed due to two deaths, one close family member and the other a close friend. This resulted in me missing the opportunity to return the item for one day within the 30 day window.

Ease of use: code readers and scan tools

We were having trouble with our truck's breakdown system and the mechanic told us the codes weren't showing when we took it in for service. We bought this unit which showed all the codes our 2018 F150 turned off. Super user friendly and easy to understand. We were able to send codes from the device and fix the damage. It also shows the battery life. The device doesn't print or send any codes, but we were able to take screenshots to prove it.

Good for code reading

I would say it is good and convenient for code reading. However, since it was listed as compatible with heavy trucks, I was expecting a little more functionality compared to the diesel engine. Specifically the ability to initiate a manual regeneration on my F350. I think if you just want some info before taking it to the mechanic that's fine. If you want access to special features that Ford doesn't give you direct access to, you probably need something with more functionality.
