🔧 Improved Engine Mount 2939 by Anchor Review

Disappointed, much smaller than OEM and aluminum, not steal like original part. I know it's a lot cheaper but I thought it was at least the same size, just didn't trust it to do the job.

The large rubber insert in this anchor broke less than 2 months after installation. This is definitely a poor quality product. I would recommend replacing the rubber inserts in the original mount with polyurethane, which is much stronger if you have access to a machine shop. Otherwise, buy a Ford mount.

I had a serious vibration problem on my 2007 Ford Focus. I bought a complete set of 3 engine mounts and my sons (14, 15 and 18) replaced them (90 mins to do this and that). I was amazed at how quiet the car became afterwards. Took the chocolate malts guys for a job well done. So far no complaints. Shipped quickly as stated. Good price compared to others on the market.

I was surprised at how different this mount was from the mount that was previously installed in my car. This thing is about 2/3 the size of an OEM (or DEA) and feels significantly more fragile. I tried anyway and after 2 weeks I felt a strange movement under my car and I'm pretty sure it's related to this mount. I'll give 2 stars if it's a different issue but honestly avoid it.

Well my ZX3's hydraulic motor mount was failing so I decided to buy a brand new set of mounts and replace them all for peace of mind. Car mileage 160,000, original brackets. After 2 weeks of stopping and driving or accelerating, I heard a loud bang like the engine was shifting. I drove it to work all week and over the weekend I put it on a lift and found the bracket was badly torn. The stock bracket was still in the hatch (glad I kept it), I reinstalled the stock bracket and the car ran fine…
