When I received this I was dissatisfied to find that my external hard drive and USB 3.0 flash drives would not connect to it. Although it worked fine with one of my USB 3.0 devices. This works very well, but you have to understand that only a certain amount of data will go through a port before conflicts cause problems. Linking multiple items together is great. Just make sure none of them eat data. In my case the following 2 scenarios were tried and they failed - understandably: 1) Monitor connected via Kensington adapter + Logitech RF dongle which combines RF with mouse. So far I'm very happy with my Anker USB 3.0 Hub, I ordered it because I wanted to use the USB 3.0 port on my laptop and it was a really affordable option. The hub looks very well put together, is USB powered, cable length suits me, all ports are on top and well spaced for easy access, LED light doesn't seem overly bright and the speeds I'm getting , seem to be very fast I'm using a USB 3.0 stick.
