Anker New Nylon USB-C To Lightning Charging Cord For (6Ft Review

I recently purchased this cable direct from Anker and it seems to be working fine, but I was just a little dissatisfied when I saw that my new product was already open. Now I doubt its authenticity, or is it really new? There is no way I want a counterfeit or defective product to fry my batteries. [UPDATE 7/16/19]: About a few days after reporting this, I received a new cable from Anker, no questions asked. The new cable is crisp and works like a charm. Excellent customer service.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE anchor cables in the past. Not so much this time. I've now woken up twice to a partially charged iPhone. (Brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max) I found that the Anker cable was a bit loose in the iPhone charging port. This Anker charging cable paired with my Anker Lightning IQ 3 Nano Power Port (also available from Revain) has proven to provide excellent fast charging that hasn't diminished over time! After 7 months of heavy use, a tiny crack has appeared on the outer rubber as you can see in the photo. I called Anker Direct customer service.
