Used between MacBook Pro Retina 13" (2016 Release) and LG 43UD79-B. The cable works great when connecting DisplayPort from computer to display, PowerDelivery (from monitor to computer), and the USB monitor has USB-A ports that connect to anything that plugs into the USB-C port. No other USB-C cable I've tried (including one from Belkin [included with the Thunderbolt 3 docks]), worked to transmit a DisplayPort signal. , relieved and happy.

Apple should stop making cables altogether

Another great cable from Anker. I've been using their Lightning and Micro USB cables for years. This one is a bit thicker but flexible enough. Definitely has a premium feel, unlike sticky Apple cables. Use it to charge your 2018 15" MacBook Pro. No problems. It would be great if it was white and maybe 6ft long. Edit: revisited after 3 months. The cable still looks brand new without the sticky one Feeling of the original Apple It still clicks when plugged in, although the connection is a bit…

Not compatible with some devices

So when I bought this cable I expected it to be almost perfectly compatible with all my devices. I was very wrong, instead when I plug it in it shows charging for a second and then suddenly stops. But I didn't just buy it to charge my phone or transfer data, I use it to charge power banks and yet as a 100w cable it does charge certain devices from time to time but the rest don't see it that way off as if they were charging it. Beware because I bought this thinking I didn't need to replace it as

Lasted less than a year.

This cable has failed after about 1 year of very infrequent use. I bought this cable to connect my phone to my laptop at work on the rare day that it needed to be charged before I could get back to my truck. The cable has been used less than 50 times and can be thrown away. There was an odd issue on one side of the cable where it would only work if properly connected. USB-C can be connected in any way. Well, after less than a few months of use, that's no longer the case. The "untrusted" end of…

Great cable! But a word of warning.

Probably the best 3.1 Gen 2 CC cable. I haven't seen any cables longer than 3 feet that include Gen 2, and if I did I would need to be sure they were genuine before trusting them with my devices. I think I read somewhere that the Gen 2 limit is 3ft and Thunderbolt 3 is about 1.5ft, so whatever; 3 feet! However, note that while you can use it for almost all your Type-C applications, devices that are not compatible with the PD protocol sometimes will not work with these legitimate chip-in-jack…

Expensive but necessary.

I bought a 1 meter (3ft) cable because I needed to access the USB3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) port on my motherboard. Every USB-C to USB-C cable I have is designed to transfer lots of power at incredible speeds, but no data! All of them are limited to 5 Gbps. I have 1 and 2 meter OEM cables from Apple and Google, as well as some cables from Anker and Aukey. None of them have been rated for data transfer, even if they came with devices that require data transfer. It can be either fast charging or 10Gb/s…

Another amazing anchor cable!

Already a fan of Anker cables and chargers, I looked up their cables first. I was looking for a fast cable to use with the Anker 30W USBc Charger and the USBc ports on my laptop. Well this cable might be overkill for a phone but it charges as fast as my phone will allow and it's a good quality cable. it will not get through your hotel/Airbnb room. Airplanes don't have USBc ports yet either. You must use a real outlet and charger that some planes have. I don't think 3ft would be enough to use…

MUST be purchased for any USB-C device!

*This cable makes a great replacement for the standard cable that came with your device. *This is a durable, well made cable made from quality materials at a VERY affordable price. The spark plugs are designed for tough use and you can tell that Anker has put a lot of emphasis on their durability. The heat shrink tubing or sheath covering the connectors and the end of the cable is much thicker. It has to withstand all the bumps and bends you can throw at it. I've attached a photo showing this…

  • USB Power Delivery: Charges any current or future USB-C device at full speed. Uses an E-marker chip to safely deliver up to 100W (5A) of power.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I connect and charge my Surface Book 2 using a USB-C hub connected to a 4K TV or monitor. I tried 4 different hubs, 8 USB-C extension cables, 3 USB-C to USB-C cables, 3 USB-C to HDMI cables, and 3 HDMI cables. I tested each one thoroughly to find out what works and what doesn't. Too bad I didn't find this cable first! what i've been through If you're looking for a way to have a clean 3-foot cable (so the hub can be at your desk) that plugs into your Surface Book 2's USB-C port and charges at…
