#9c. get them here

The screws that came with the original door were not 2 1/4 and the door was slowly pulled out of the hinge. The big box couldn't help. There was only #8 or #10. Ordered here and received in 2 days. Can't beat it It's all right, straight and right again. They even match the color better than the original screws.

Why fool around? for fasteners

Just installed, so far so good. But I'm so glad I found her. I installed the 4 screw hinges in half using these and the 1" screws included in the hinge kit for future reinforcement options. The finish corresponds to the antique brass. Price? Come on, it's 50 cents apiece and it's for something that's been around for decades, so there's no problem here.

Useful product for wood screws

I had a bar with screws for door hinges sticking out in the jamb. It was the original screw and it was the same length as the post depth, which was an inch or less. By replacing that 2 1/4" screw, the threads reached the stud and I am confident that the screw will not break again. This repair method was much easier, quicker, and perhaps more durable than putting a dowel in the hole and to tar the old fastener. Also the finish of the new screw head looks the same as the original so one more screw

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other lockpicks
