Description of ANVISION 48V 0.8A Gigabit PoE Power Adapter Supply Injector - IEEE 802.3af/at Compliant for IP VoIP Phones, Cameras, AP, and More | With AC Cord

A great solution for PoE devices, the poe power adapter can be used to power PoE devices (built-in poe function or module) such as PoE IP Phone / IP cameras / Access Points etc. The poe power adapter is also works with non-poe devices, but a extra poe splitter will be required between this poe power adapter ( poe injector) and non-poe devices. Plug and Play: provides remote power to equipment through CAT5/5e/6 Ethernet cable up to 1000Mbps, the device has a compact size makes it easy to install the adapter into areas where space is limited, without no configuration required. Hight Power: Input: AC100-240V 50/60Hz, Output: Power (output voltage: 48V, output current: 0.8A Max.) & data, make it NOT ONLY works with IEEE 802.3af devices, BUT ALSO with high-power devices like 802.3at devices (more than 30 Watt), Such as IP PTZ camera, big power AP etc. Warranty: 2 years

NOT 802.3at/af compliant.

The good news is that this device supplies 54.2 VDC to whatever you plug into it. The bad news is that this brick delivers 54.2V DC ruthless power to absolutely anything you plug into it. This is a purely passive power supply with +v on pins 1, 2, 4 and 5; 0v to the rest. Since it is a passive device, there is no handshake. And without the handshake, devices that require AT power levels can run in degraded mode, unaware that they can draw additional power. I can confirm that this blockage does…

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Damaged

Good alternative to POE

Bought to test. They were a good alternative to the POE injector for some devices. I've tried them on WAP and cameras. while it works fine.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Nothing

Also works with passive devices

This PoE works at 1Gb/s even though the description says 10/100Mb/s. Also note that it also works with passive PoE devices that don't provide signatures. This is fine if you have a passive device, but does indicate that it may not offer power sequencing for true 802.3at/af devices.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Drives me crazy
