Great Leg Repair Hardware for loose strut bolts on either side or damaged frame

It took a long time to fix the leg of the sofa because it was slightly bent backwards and I was afraid it would support the weight The damage was in the frame of the sofa when the original screw came loose and a dent formed in the frame near the leg.Adding spare threads to the existing leg and attaching the plate to the sofa was a breeze.I have one Added panel on the other corner just to balance that side as it can be 1/2" tall. It's okay, but it's easy to adjust the other leg. I will keep this

The mounting plates are solid and well made.

I have an old chair that kids have jumped on and broken their legs. I bought replacement legs but needed a reliable way to attach them. I ordered these mounting plates and was happy to see that they are very strong. I was dissatisfied to find that the screws attaching the panels to the chair were made of very soft metal and not only bent but broke at any torque. I just used the bolts I had at the shop so it wasn't a big problem for me, but if you don't have that option you definitely need…

Broken screws are best for furniture hardware

I used this kit to fit replacement legs to my love seat after the originals were lost during a long move. I used adapter plates and screws; I haven't used the other parts, so I can't comment on that. The plates are good - solid and well made. There are no screws. My issue with the bolts was that when tightened, one of the bolt heads immediately sheared off when hand tightening! I've never seen this before and have done MANY DIY projects in my 6+ decades of my life. I'm not the strongest person…

Wobbly but complete kit

These are the dimensions of the drill bits and tools needed for installation in red oak. Increase the bit size by 1/64" when installing in hardwoods such as maple or granadillo. When installing in soft woods such as pine or spruce, reduce the drill size by 1/64. 64 for the 4 screws holding each panel, 1/4" for the 2" screw that goes in, 7/16 for the threaded insert that goes in the leg, and an 8mm (or 5/16" ) hex key for insertion. The 7/16" bit can pose a problem if you have a 3/8" drill bit…
