🪑 Hardwood Ottoman by Anyke Casters Furniture Review

Warning! These casters have hard plastic wheels. Based on the ad, I was expecting them to be made out of a softer rubber material. If you have a softwood floor like pine or walnut, these can damage the floor. Mine are red oak so I'm not too worried but I'll still be careful. Otherwise these are pretty good reels and work well, especially for the money. That's a good value.

I used this for a small ottoman that needs to be moved around a medium pile rug. Big. However, you will need a bit of practice when it comes to positioning and pre-drilling screw holes in the legs or bottom of your furniture. This was a better solution than the wheels that come with a stand and base. Sometimes they are too long. And sometimes they don't coexist with existing holes in many furniture legs! So a flat plate with 4 screws has worked better for me in several cases.

I bought these for a wheeled storage rack I made and they are perfect. Very smooth ride, cornering without problems, just what I wanted. I bought these knowing they didn't come with screws, but after attaching them to my project it would be nice if the correct size screw was included. I have many sizes and types of screws on hand, but none fit perfectly, and I couldn't find the best screws that just fit in and lay flat given how the screw hole plate is designed. It didn't make a huge difference

In late 2018 I purchased 2 of these sets to set up chairs in an area we often rearrange for different gatherings. Installation was relatively easy. I bolted the 2x4 pieces to the bottom of the chairs, mainly to raise them an additional 1.5 inches since the casters were a lot smaller than the legs they replaced. These casters are perfect for our needs. They replaced some old wheels on the ottoman, which has had to sit on carpeted and hardwood floors at various times. The wheels work perfectly on both. They were incredibly easy to install, with just enough correctly sized screws to secure them in place. While not as noticeable, they are attractive enough that visibility is not an issue.
