Excellent commercial quality mobile dual band transceiver

Commercial dual band 140/460MHz transceiver ideal for commercial or amateur radio use. Have a heavy heatsink to dissipate heat for extended use combined with a rear fan.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

The RF gain should be increased if you don't hear any noise on the squelch.

This is the best radio I have ever owned. I am 59 years old and have had a radio in my truck since 1977. When combined with a Browning loop antenna with a 10" extension, the SWR is unreadable. Speaking locally 30 miles down the local back road is like speaking to missed calls. The automatic squelch works great. I've had a Galaxy, Cobra, Ranger, I bought that for the shoulder, I've also used a Stryker 94 which has impressed me a lot, but it didn't have the shoulder. He also spoke am. I don't…

Many functions! - CB Radios & Scanners

This is a fantastic radio with very good ears and volume. The only very minor downside is that the echo control is located inside the radio. You can only turn it on and off from outside the radio. But there are other adjustable things in the radio if you like :-). Love the fact that this radio always has 3M live. Receive power, transmit power and SWR. The transmit power is easily adjusted by turning the knob on the front of the radio. Overall this is an amazing radio that I have been using…

Regular radio for your money

I have two of these and they are good radios apart from some issues with the microphone. Both radios skip channels when you use them and the only way to stop this is to lock the channel, which is fine, but you then have to unlock it to get to the new channel. Both have problems with the transfer button, sometimes there is an error, you have to release the button and try again. With some minor modifications this radio can operate from 25.615MHz to 30.105MHz which gives a good range but for the…

The best radio 10/11 meter for the money.

I risked this radio. At $210 this thing is hard to beat. Checked with my service monitor and the frequency was correct. No radio settings have been made. The performance was slightly better than stated. I'm seeing 40-45 watts on SSB, 14 watts on AM. The assembly is of good quality and does not look like an export CB radio. The microphone jack is RJ45 style and requires an adapter for additional microphones. Excellent audio transmission reports in all modes. USB programming is a nice touch…

Basically, the Stryker 955HP is half the price.

Excellent radio. I have a Stryker 955HP and I would say they are comparable in every way except the Anytone is half the price. It has all the same features as my Stryker. The only difference is that the Echo needs to be installed on the circuit board inside the radio. I switched to 11 meters and can easily get to about 30 watts. The programming cable is sold separately and will burn out, but when you get it you can leave it on the hook and dangle the braid off the radio if you're making a lot…

For the price it's ok!

The quality of this product did not convince me. The tuning knob is very convenient in channel/frequency tuning. The cooler for the finale is really disappointing. Again very cheaply made. The sound is almost a joke. And I don't mean the sound quality (I never expected it to be this good for a $200 radio anyway). But volume. Must be almost maxed out to hear the damn thing! And I have many other Chinese machine tools of much better quality at a relatively low price. At 10 meters. get something…
