I replaced my lock because it was making a loud vibration/noise every time I opened the driver's door. This one worked fine for about a year and started making the same noise that made me want to fix it in the first place. It's not an easy part to replace or it took a lot of effort to replace just to make it last a year, I'm very disappointed.

Perfect fit and works like the original. But the installation was incredibly complex and detailed, requiring the removal of almost every component of the door. This is clearly not for the inexperienced auto mechanic. After two days and about seven hours of grueling work in a cold winter, my 2002 Civic EX coupe finally had a working door lock.

The product works perfectly. We were able to repair our van quickly and inexpensively. I can't believe our van is working properly again. Once we exchanged the faulty gadget for a new one, we brought back all our old features that we had forgotten with one click. Good product! That saves a lot of money compared to going to the dealer.

This is the second one I've bought in the last two years. They are difficult to install and obviously made out of cheap plastic. I bought it in February to replace the one I installed in October 2017 and installed it in May. This current part has lasted about a month and has already started rubbing in on closing/unlocking the door. Don't buy this. You get what you pay for.

bought in May 2017. After 7 months it started to grind very loudly. I called APDTY and they cover the warranty for a year, but they charge you $15 shipping and refund you for the part after you return the old part (yes, you have to ship the old part , it's another $7). ). So you end up paying close to $40 or more for a part that's going to give you trouble again. Look for other options.

How many who bought this part, the door lock drive began to grind heavily when unlocking. The part was installed within 13 months and has worked flawlessly during this time. The warranty offered on this part is 12 months, so the supplier does not help. Obviously such a part should serve many years. Something about this aftermarket part is not designed properly and is causing these devices to fail after a short period of time. I would *NOT* recommend buying this part.

I bought this product and after 5 months of use it started making a loud grinding noise. As it was still under warranty a replacement part was sent but it didn't work at all (checked the old one which worked with a grinding noise, disconnected and reconnected the new one which didn't respond). The cost to install and the time it takes to replace this part is more hassle than it's worth ($18). After looking at other reviews and posts, this grinding noise issue is a known and existing problem. So

Bought this actuator in March 2017, just under a year ago (warranty not yet up to 12 months) and had it fitted at our local Honda dealer. It was working fine until a month ago it started making the same loud "machine gun" noise as the old one. Now the remote control doesn't close all the doors properly and the alarm doesn't turn on. I have sent the seller a request for a warranty replacement but have not received a response yet (2 days ago). Would change rating to 4-5 stars if warranty…
