Yes, 5 stars, but it was a real headache. I installed it on the back of the driver side engine in a '03 Tahoe and after installation the exhaust leak was gone! But let me tell you that there is absolutely no place to work. They have the back of the motor so close to the firewall that it's almost impossible to thread the bolts through the bracket and then into the head. It took me a few hours and a lot of swearing to install it. But that's certainly better than pulling out the head and drilling…

Great product and GREAT TIP

Seems to work as described! A big hint. requires some planning in advance but saves time once started. Mine was on a suburb 04 used in the driver's rear with the infamous hard to reach bolt hole on that bracket. After struggling with the "easy" way of grabbing the bolt hole for some time before succeeding, I had an idea for a harder bottom one: I threaded a nut onto the bolt and narrowed the top of the mounting bolt a bit with a dremel and took the nut. to clean the threads, i put the screw in…

Passenger rear setup isn't bad

I received a Dorman part with an APDTY sticker over the Dorman logo.1. REMOVE SMALL HEAT SHIELD FROM BOTTOM. Three studs with 10mm nuts, one just under the steering column. Pull it straight down and back towards the exhaust pipe. There is no need to pull it out completely.2. Put a ladder in front of the truck and lie on the engine. You can stick your left and right hands in just far enough to get the top bolt into the top hole in the cylinder head. Slide your fingers down as far as you can, but

Great product! Definitely a must have for a manifold leak!

I can't say enough good things about this piece. Definitely a great money saver. I probably saved about $1,000. HOWEVER, as everyone says, it's a complete pain to install. I would suggest getting a second person to help you. I installed it on the left rear of a 01 GMC Yukon. Before you start, screw in the screw that closes the distributor. In the end it saves you time. Start at the bottom and have a helper hold it from above. The part is very heavy and cannot be held and screwed tight. Pass…

Not an easy install, but a quality product.

After a muffler shop offered me $200 to fix my truck and another told me they use this mount, I decided to try it myself. I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 5.3 and installed it on the back DRIVER SIDE. As other people have said, it's easier to install under the truck than from the top, but it's still not easy. If you have big hands or minimal dexterity, you're going to be in trouble. I have longer, thinner and very flexible arms which made this setup easier for me. BEFORE you begin you will need RED…
