🚪 APDTY Tailgate Handle Replacement for 69090-0C051, 690900C051 Review

Just received my piece today. It took 25 minutes to install, mainly because I couldn't find the 8mm jack. Works perfect. Not OEM, but very close. Toyota asked for $140 plus taxes. Installed my existing camera lens and lock. Happy

It's just horrible that I bought this spin on my truck for less than 2 months and it's already broken and the worst part is I don't have it for my Backdoor use very often, maybe 3 times a year, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this

My tailgate is crooked and the handle breaks about every 4-6 months. The switch is always easy with the replacement of this button, takes me 10 minutes to install, on the camera I just lost the latch on the first use but I put a dime in the spare hole.

Well ignored other reviews saying this is unreliable. Everything worked fine but after driving 20 miles some materials had to be returned as the gate would not open. Looking at what happened, one of the retaining clips was too loose, causing the stem to slide out of the bracket. Hope the wire holds!

Better quality than others I've seen. The last handle I bought failed where the bolts went into the nuts. This handle has reinforced nuts (look carefully). I don't drive a truck every day so I can't confirm durability. Judging by the components used, however, I don't see any obvious weak points. Installation was easy and everything fit perfectly.

I read the reviews and most were positive, one guy said it broke right away but for the price I decided to try the part I had received and after comparing it to my oem part which broke it turned out to be made with the same quality as the oem and it went in with no problems and was perfect and if for some reason this part breaks , I will come back to that. The rear door handle on my truck broke so I bought it as a replacement. Much cheaper than OEM and works great. The installation didn't take long, I followed the instructions on YouTube. It fits and looks the same as the OEM but I think the internals could be a bit cheaper. Overall it was a good purchase and I'm happy with it. Cheap. Won't last. But at this price, that's not surprising. And I think I can buy 4 for the price of an official trunk handle. I'm halfway there and still wondering why I'm buying cheap. Before purchasing, find out how to open the tailgate without a handle.
