Description of 🌊 160-Test API High Range pH Test Kit for Freshwater and Saltwater Aquarium Water - Includes 150-Watt Halogen Bulb

Contains one (1) API HIGH RANGE PH TEST KIT 160-Test Freshwater and Saltwater Aquarium Water Test Kit, including 1 bottle of testing solution, 1 color card and 1 glass test tube with cap. Helps monitor pH and prevent invisible water problems that can be harmful to fish and cause fish loss. Accurately reads pH range 7.4 - 8.8, ideal for Goldfish, Marine, and African Cichlids. Because different geographies have different tap water conditions, and different fish need different pH levels to be healthy, API helps measure pH levels & detect pH fluctuation caused by fish waste, uneaten food and addition of tap water. Use for weekly monitoring and when water or fish problems appear.

Works pretty well: Aquarium test kits

It's hard to accurately determine your pH level. I always get colors between 8.0 and 8.2 so I just assume it's 8.1. Otherwise it's great and doesn't deserve much hate.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Negative impression

Good color differentiation

I used it to check the pH of my seawater aquarium. The color difference between different PH values is pretty good, except for the difference between 8.2 and 8.4, which is just a slight difference in shades of the same color. However, since you want your saltwater pool to be somewhere between 8.2 and 8.4, this shortcoming has no real consequences.

Pros
  • A dream comes true
Cons
  • Can cause damage

A popular and reliable testing solution.

This test is a bit difficult but pH is so important to my aquarium that I am willing to do it. My water, even with partial reverse osmosis water, is very high, I live in Arizona. My Betta has adapted to this and works great on 8.0 but I check every day how she can go fast and use any props like driftwood almond leaves and a coconut shell hut. So I'm glad this test exists.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
