The product itself works fine. However, I had to drill a hole on the side of the slot because it wasn't long enough. I installed it on a 2006 Bayliner with Mercruiser 3.0. I bought the boat used so I'm not sure if the engine is original.

Well it came but the holes on the bracket are about 3/8" and the bolts you need to mount to your motor are 9/16 on every 3, 0 engine. . It bolts to the head and they all have the same sized holes so you can take it to the bank. Look at the photos. I was tempted to just drill them out. This works well for a round hole, but a slotted hole is a different story. The drill will want to go straight into the slot and if you try to hold it you will likely injure yourself.
