The only option for the 36 gpd membrane

Since Dow discontinued their diaphragm at 36 gallons per day, this is the only affordable option I could find. It seems to work pretty well, but after changing the filter and membrane I only get about 50ppm. My tap water runs around 500ppm.

Pros
  • THE CLEAREST WATER - Removes up to 99.9% of Heavy Metals, All Dissolved Solids (TDS), Bacteria & Pathogens, Arsenic, Chlorides, Cadmium, Pyrogens, Cyanides, Lead, Fungi, Giardia, Viruses, etc
Cons
  • Some small things

Does not appear to be working properly

The old membrane was fitted about 10 years ago and still tested at 25ppm I installed this new one simply because it was probably time to do so.First reading was 600+ppm as the new membrane had to be rinsed first.Plain untreated tap water tested with 380ppm. The ppm readings were getting lower and lower. After two weeks of inactivity other than flushing the new membrane, is the reading now stable at 359ppm and not dropping further? It's pointless? It was obviously a mistake, replacing the old…

Pros
  • UNIVERSAL Fit - 36 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane fits all standard 2" ID 1812/2012 membrane housings and is compatible with almost all under sink RO systems.
Cons
  • Damaged

The water didn't flow!

It took some time to figure out what was wrong with the system. This filter was not working properly and water was not passing through.

Pros
  • Replacement under sink water filter
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Only option for 36 gpd cone

Since Dow has discontinued their 36 gpd cone this is the only reasonably priced option I could find. It seems to work pretty well, but after changing the filter and membrane I only get about 50ppm. My tap water runs around 500ppm.

Pros
  • tools and housewares
Cons
  • wrinkled

Little effect on the decrease in the amount of dissolved minerals?

Old membrane installed about 10 years ago and still tested at 25ppm. I installed this new one simply because it was probably time to do so. The first reading was 600+ ppm because the new membrane had to be flushed first. Plain, untreated tap water tested at 380 ppm. The ppm values kept getting lower. After two weeks of inactivity other than rinsing the new membrane, is the reading now stable at 359ppm and not dropping further? It's pointless? It was obviously a mistake to replace the old…

Pros
  • Replacement water filter
Cons
  • Not working
