Too complicated to use/configure

Based on the specs and description, this might just be the best you need in a secure USB flash drive. What I don't like is the manual keyboard on the USB stick itself, making it too bulky and too long (nearly 3 inches). Setting up an admin PIN, unlocking and adding a user PIN, and paying attention to the blue or green LED and number of blinks is too complicated. I think it's great if you use this for devices other than computers, e.g. for uploading video from a surgical microscope, but if you…

Pros
  • USB 3.2 Type-C connector Power supply: USB connector / internal battery
Cons
  • Crumpled

Has an internal battery that fails

These drives have a rechargeable battery that will annihilate you once it dies. You won't get any sign of life from him. If you're lucky and the battery runs out of charge, you'll have to plug it into the USB port for power, although the instructions say not to enter the key every time the drive is plugged in. This will work until he eventually dies without warning. Kind of kills the idea of having a reliable secure flash drive. And it's not cheap!

Pros
  • AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption
Cons
  • May damage
