The canister's three electrical pin connections were noticeably looser than the old canister, almost too loose a feeling when I replaced the canister. I installed my Aprilaire 800 in mid-November 2020 and it hasn't worked since February 2021. neither too hard nor too soft water. My service light was on so I pulled out the cartridge and it was full of what appeared to be a malt-o-flour slurry. Probably calcium carbonate and other minerals.
