Description of Aqua Pure AP717 Drinking System Filtration

FILTRATION FOR REFRIGERATORS - This system is ideal for refrigerators that do not include a built-in water filtration system. BETTER TASTING WATER - This system reduces chlorine taste and odor, providing better tasting water and ice. REDUCES SEDIMENT AND SCALE - This system reduces sediment and scale, as tested and verified by the manufacturer's laboratory. EFFECTIVE FILTRATION - The system uses specially formulated activated carbon and progressive porosity media for effective filtration down to 5 microns nominal. VERSATILE USAGE - This system can also be used for drinking fountains, coffee machines, and drink dispensers. SANITARY DESIGN - The cartridge, using standard 1/4" NPT inlet/outlet connections, is sanitary in design and requires no contact with the filter media during change-out. SIX MONTH FILTER LIFE - To maximize system performance and efficiency, regularly scheduled maintenance, including replacement of the cartridge every six months (or sooner if a noticeable reduction in flow rate, change in odor or taste occurs) is required. Filter life is dependent on actual use and incoming water quality. NSF STANDARD 42 CERTIFIED - Tested and certified by one of the world's most respected independent certification organizations that helps protect the world's food, water, consumer products, and environment.

Removed Details of Ice Like a Boss

I installed it under the sink to remove white particles from the ice. Installation was pretty easy. I just cut the plastic lines with kitchen scissors; Just be careful not to cut at an angle. Snap directly into the filter and boom, done. The result was excellent, about 95% of features disappeared. I have already ordered another filter to replace in six months. Based on the attached image, I also use the 3M Complete C filter to remove chemicals. Great addition to the AP717 for solids.

Pros
  • REDUCES DEBRIS AND FORMING - This system reduces sediment and scale as tested and validated by manufacturer's lab
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Turn off the water first!

Always turn off the water supply before changing the ice maker filter in your refrigerator. Can be quite a mess if neglected. Otherwise it's the same filter that I change about every 12-18 months. Very easy to install after the plumber installed the supply line under the kitchen sink and we routed the line to the fridge. Unscrew the two ends, wrap the connectors with a few turns of tape and install. Tighten them to the point where there are no more drips and you'll be good for another 12-18…

Pros
  • IMPROVED WATER TASTE. This system reduces the taste and odor of chlorine while improving the taste of water and ice.
Cons
  • Very Expensive
