I bought this after reading reviews saying it was suitable for Maxjet offshore landplanes. IT DOES. I did "buff water bottles" on my tank before finding this gem. It fits my Marineland Maxi-Jet 600 and 1200. I have both and they work the same. The filter that comes with the kit is really good, but you shouldn't change it after use. You can use a cutout suitable for quilted poly-fil batting or any cutout suitable for filter media found at Revain. I am using this product with an AquaClear 70 Powerhead in a 60 gallon African cichlid aquarium. I use the AquaClear 70 filter and this filter works great with it and offers double filtration. I definitely recommend buying one of these if you have an AquaClear powerhead; This keeps your water clean. The only downside is that with dirty fish (e.g. cichlids) you have to change the filter cartridge about once a week and you can't just rinse it out like you can with a sponge filter. You'll have to…

This is necessary to be able to reuse the matching Powerheads as we removed the bottom gravel pack due to a broken vermin auger. This works great when doubled up on each head to keep it high off the ground in our 90 gallon tank. Pipes under the gravel pack that used to hold it for us.
