Description of 🐠 AQUANEAT Corner Sponge Filter for Nano Shrimp and Fish Tank Breeding

New design: quarter-cylinder shape increases the surface area to get a better water and oxygen exchange rate. It also make the filter easy to hide in the corner of a tank. Sponge filter provide both mechanical and bio filtration, also, the air infusion chamber produces minute bubbles which increase the oxygen solubility. Safe for fish: soft sponge material, traps floating debris and won't suck up your fish, excellent for small size fish like betta, dwarf cichlid, guppy, killifish etc. or for hatcheries, maternity tanks, and fry tanks, as the filter produces minimal current and has almost no way to suck the fish through the filter. Easy to set up & clean: simply install an airline into the unit and turn on the air pump, simply rinse and squeeze sponge in tank water. Recommend tank size: up to 55 gallon; Dimension: 3.50"Lx3.50"Wx9.50-12.00"H.

Good sponge filter, may need modification for use as a pre-filter

As a sponge filter looks great! Not perfect. For Eheim with 12/16 tube I had to do a little more work that wasn't included in the kit. I have the large size (up to 35 gallons) and although the picture says the hose is a half inch, it's closer to 3/4". As a sponge filter, it's well designed to minimize the footprint and while maximizing filtration.; It's even designed with the air hose tucked into the corner of the tank. Being a sponge filter I would definitely buy it again.

Wonderful! Cheap and better than others!

I have been using expensive filters that hang on the back of my aquarium for many years. I always thought a submersible filter would do better but I figured a cheap filter couldn't do the job and I was wrong! In just a few hours, these filters were able to clean the aquarium and make the water crystal clear. Have you ever wondered how a water line filter can clean the substrate? Can not! That's why an immersion sponge filter makes sense. Most foam filters don't come with mini bubblers but this…

A little more than expected from a "nano " filter.

When I opened the box I couldn't help but notice that this filter seemed larger than advertised (though not by much). I put it in my newly planted 3 gallon tank and it works great pulling out all the debris that comes from planting in the ground in just 48 hours. I would really like to see thinner bubbles coming out the top as my betta loves tiny bubbles but it's not a deal breaker or something that can't be fixed. Easy to install, durable. It could have had a bit more weight on the base as it…

  • Cord is shorter than others

Good size for any aquarium up to 5 or 6 gallons

I have been using these filters and others like them for over 25 years to raise a variety of fish from guppies and angelfish to keeping and breeding bettas. Slightly undersized for a tank much over 5 gallons (I believe it was advertised as 10 gallons), I would use 2 of these at 10 gallons or 3 at 15-20 (or use the larger version at 10 and up) . ). They are simple and easy to use and fit perfectly in a corner. In combination with live plants, they do a good job of maintaining good water…
