I bought these granules to fill small mesh bags to put in my shoes for odor control. Leave the packs on for a few days first and strangely it will work. Just leave your shoes with pouches in between wears.

Wah-Wah. Really absorbs the smell in the room. My laundry room has been smelling for a year now. Tried oxygenator, boxes of baking soda, nothing helped but works. Only minus us black dust falling on hands and everywhere. Perhaps the bags should have smaller pores, but this can prevent the troms from breathing. I read somewhere to lay in the sun?

Purchased to remove odors. Used in different ways. They are placed behind the fans, hung on the door and placed on the tables. Much cheaper but the same activated carbon in odor removal products. Works very well. Def must be rinsed out well beforehand so that no black particles remain. Took 3/4 min per sachet under cold running water. Love mesh bags, easy to distribute to different areas.

I was concerned about the quality of the carbon fiber or the zip bags they came in. I'm happy to report that both are excellent, especially given the price I paid. They were sent direct in a padded postal package; which seemed strange at first, but nothing was hurt. Each pack of coal was individually wrapped in a plastic bag to avoid contamination from dry coal dust.

Bought several times. I like the price and the convenience of the bags. Plus, if you empty it when you're done, you'll have a couple of mesh bags for other filtering needs. For people who complain about dust, you bought the product and used it for a different purpose. Anyone who uses them to filter water understands that like all other filter media, they must be rinsed before use. If you need carbon for your shoes or duffel bag, don't give a crappy review, buy what is advertised as a shoe.

The best investment I've made in my turtle tank! It was very cloudy with the usual pre-packed filter I was using. After switching to bagged charcoal (bag included) and a Fluval filter, I haven't had cloudy water since. Even if I neglect the tank, it stays clean. The same activated carbon water pump and Fluval filter made a world of difference. And I've flushed and/or changed the Fluval filter at least three times; and only the activated carbon bag had to be rinsed out - and it's like new…
