Not as pictured

I love API products except have to agree with other buyers. After using the tubes for some time, the tops tend to stick (even after cleaning them right after testing). I had 2 fractures in my arm. The addendum is WRONG, it shows a BOX API with 6 tubes but they came together wrapped in plastic. WHY SHIP 6 FRAGILE PIPES IN A CARTON WITH ONE 16 FL oz BOTTLE AND ONE 8 FL oz BOTTLE WITHOUT PROTECTION THAT NEEDS TO BE MOVED DURING SHIPPING. THANK YOU PIPES MADE EVERYTHING IN ONE PIECE. THIS IS ONLY…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Only buy them if you have no other way to get vials.

First of all the Revain hoses were sent without seals so 2 out of 6 were broken and the 3rd snapped. I really needed more water test tubes so I kept the remaining 3. The glass appears to be thinner than the tubes that came with the Master Test Kit, so I'm not sure if these are real Api tubes. And I just tested my aquarium. Water, I was about to remove the cap from one of the tubes to add a second nitrate test solution and the tube broke in my hand. It spilled broken glass all over my kitchen…

A must have for multiple aquariums

I have 3 tanks: 1 29 gallon aquarium + inverted main aquarium display; 1 5.5 gallon shrimp rearing tank and a 10 gallon "tank" for juvenile or injured/sick fish. You need to periodically (1-2-3 times a week) check the parameters of all tanks. If you buy the Master Test Kit, you will receive 4 tubes. This allows you to check 4 tests on 1 tank. Then you should rinse and dry them all before moving on to the second or third tank! Since I like to take water samples from all three tanks, label them…
