Bigger than expected but cool!

I bought this for my 20 liter tank so I didn't have to put my hands in the water and still be able to hold a 10 inch drill bit. This is my first experience with an aquarium siphon and I absolutely love it! Usually a 10-25% water change takes no more than half an hour, but this reduces the time to 15 minutes. It did a phenomenal job of removing gravel in 'trouble spots' where I've seen a lot of litter. I didn't know how many there were! 2 liters sucked out in seconds. Very very happy with this…

It's good that such tools exist!

Anyone who has an aquarium knows that changing the water is a real pain. I used to clean my aquarium using a jug to empty the water, which involved lots and lots of back and forth movements from the tank to the sink, making cleaning my tank a terrible task. I finally decided to buy something like this and luckily I did! Now I just use a bucket and pump out the water, SUPER! So while the water is draining I can do other things and it only requires two exits to drain. So much easier. I can't say…

Keep it simple and keep it clean

This siphon works exactly as expected. This is a much better design than a primed bulb, which tends to get clogged with rock chips and debris causing them to lose suction and flow painfully slowly. This product is smaller than other siphons I've had in the past (mine was 5 inches), but for a 10-20 gallon aquarium that's fine. It's not so big that it's inconvenient to use or store. In fact, the smaller size made pipe casting a lot less messy. It cleaned my gravel and had just enough suction to…

Too big and cumbersome for a 5 gallon or plant tank

Revised-> After trying to use it again I realized how difficult it is. In a tight space like my 5 gallon with plants and roots there just isn't a good way to get the suction to work. Also, the hole was too big to reach the smaller sections of the lower tank. It removed the water too quickly for me to clean the substrate well and I ended up knocking out my jewelry. It was a disaster! - Then I bought a micro cleaner with a hand pump. MUCH better results! While it is suitable for a 5 gallon…
