🐠 Aqueon Clip-On LED Aquarium Light for Optimal Illumination Review

When we bought the Aqueon we bought another light that we were sure would fit our tank. We have a black bezel on top and the light clip was too small. Bought from Revain and it fits perfectly! Nice light and fits my 20 gallon tank. Plus half the cost of the other lamp we brought back to the store.

I have this light on a 12 inch cube tank and it is definitely bright enough to grow plants and light up fish. I mainly grow a carpet of s.repens along with some japonica, bryozoans and dwarf grass. All plants look good and grow fast. The light stays on the glass (rimless aquarium) with no problems and doesn't move at all. The touch controls are simple and effective. This unit has a nice metal construction and is relatively inexpensive for a beginner hobbyist. The downside is that there are only 3 modes (Blue + White) OR Moonlight (Blue only) OR Off. Although advertised for aquariums up to 20 gallons, this mount is only 8 inches long. The first lantern was included in the shrimp tank. I didn't think there was enough light for the plants with this tank size so I used it in another tank and placed a more powerful light over the shrimp tank. Well if you use this light in an open aquarium it's 5 stars. It's bright, stylish and very beautiful. The cable is not visible and is also strong.
