I was very happy to put them on the trunk of my car because my trunk wouldn't hold up. When I installed them I did the same on both sides but one works great and the other doesn't. It works for a few openings of the trunk, but after about 5 openings it slowly starts to emerge from the left side and if you don't fold it back the whole trunk falls. When they tell you to have a friend hold the sunroof they are not kidding. I couldn't do it or properly support the sunroof and it collapsed so hard after the initial impact that it shattered my glass. SOOOOOOOO $350.00 later to replace the glass on my sunroof and put in a new shock absorber which was really a no brainer. Just back the hatch up with a board or a friend or two and you'll be fine.
