Do not purchase this product

This product didn't last long on the project. Both arms broke off which made the task much more difficult. Cheap metal, of course.

Pros
  • SPECIFICATIONS: This tool has a 1 5/16" (33mm) fork hole and is designed to remove bipod arms from personal vehicles and light trucks. A 3/8" square drive in the center bolt allows for this the use of a 3/8" ratchet tool.
Cons
  • Some problems

Worked on my grip

Should come out. This worked on my 2005 GMC 2500 HD pickup, which matched Pitman's arm perfectly. Used a punch, a PB blaster and a pull handle to free him.

Pros
  • RELIABLE | EFFICIENT | EFFICIENCY: Users trust ARES for quality tools. You are protected by our Limited Lifetime Performance Assurance. If you have any problems with the ARES Pitman Grip Puller, simply contact customer service for troubleshooting assistance, parts, replacement or refund.
Cons
  • I don't remember

It's a gear puller, newly advertised as an idle puller, is too weak.

A piece of unnecessary tool for a high quality car zone. Not suitable for GM 1500 Idler or Pitman. The thread is so loose and of poor casting quality that it has cross threads and a sharp point. Not flat. An absolute joke from an engineer, not a mechanic. Had to borrow a tool, I'm returning it anyway. Don't waste time, just get a heavy duty puller. It's modeled after a cheap gear puller and renamed the Pitman Puller. Telling jokes
