did the job it was intended for

To me it was most likely a disposable tool but this outlet was about half the price you could get at local brick and mortar stores. It fit snugly onto the axle nut on my 2010 Toyota RAV4 and unscrewed easily. Can't comment on durability as I hope I won't need it in the near future.

Hard Tool for 2012 Highlander 👍

My 2012 Highlander's rear bearing was on the verge of wear, so I needed this tool to remove the main axle nut. It fitted my DeWalt impact wrench perfectly and the nut came off like clockwork! I recommend replacing the nut with a new one, which I also bought here from the Dorman brand for less than $8 for two. I will do the other side very soon. I highly recommend this tool 😁👍

Another great ARES tool. 30mm 12 point fits perfectly with my 2005 Avalon front hubs (replaces entire knuckle assembly on both sides). (The factory axle nuts were 12-point and the new axle nuts were 6-point, and of course the 12-point socket will work with either.) Note that the axle uses a "cage nut" - the axle has a keyway and After that, tightening the flange on the nut forces it into this groove to "lock" the nut and prevent the wheel from falling off the vehicle (replaces castle nut and…

Fits Highlander 2015

Fits Highlander 2015 I bought this thinking it was for the rotors but it isn't. The rotors can be removed without loosening the hub nut. It looks like I could use an outlet so I kept it. It's good quality too.

  • Not as thick as other picks
