Encrypted output? Get a CTIA to OMTP Adapter!

Poor reviews say the cable only needs to be partially plugged in to ensure proper video playback. This will correct your pinout to match the pinout that the DVR is expecting. Great little device!

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • So far so good

Works fine but quality control issues

So first the bad, I got this a few days ago and the SD card eject doesn't work. I didn't notice it right away because I was watching my videos through the dash cam, but then I removed the SD card to put it in my computer and it gets stuck, I have to smack it in my palm to unlock it to touch let it pop out. In addition, it is a decent quality video recorder. I like the size and the built-in battery. I use it on my fpv goggles and it works great for me.

NO MORE RECORDING.

I got this in August 2019, use it very often like 2 times a week every month, last week I tried to record my FPV flights and the menu says SD CARD FULL regardless of which SD -Card I am with and even without SD card. I always use the same 32GB SD cards and they work great with my mobula7 HD and RUNCAM 5. Always charged, always kept in the drone bag, dry, dust free and never dropped, just stop recording. Very disappointed.

Perfect size, easy to use

I didn't want to buy a new headset with a built in DVR so I went that route. It's easy and simple to put on my cheap headset until I find better glasses. It's easy to set up; Simply insert an SD card, connect it to the headset's video-out jack, turn it on, wait for the ready light to come on, then press the button next to the A/V-in jack to start recording , and press the same button to stop them , and that's it. I saved your recordings. The battery lasts about an hour of flight, so make sure…

Works with Fat Shark Transformer goggles with cable mod.

I use this mini DVR with Fat Shark Transformer glasses. Please note that the AV sockets are connected differently between the two devices. I cut the cable that came with the dashcam in two and soldered them together to fix the wiring differences. White and green wires come back together, white to white and green to green, red and black wires need to be crossed, black to red. This will toggle the ground and video connections so that they match. I tested the AV output of the glasses on the DVR…

Buyers beware of remote and app controlled cars

I've been fortunate in the past that my experience was completely different from the users who left negative product reviews; However, this time I have to agree with all the negative reviews. This sucks because I really needed this item and wanted it to work, but I've tried everything to no avail. My problem is that it just doesn't do what it's supposed to do, which is record video from your glasses. I tried everything to get it working and still the playback was garbled. As another reviewer…

High Quality Product

My first impression was that it was VERY well made for an unbranded product, the case is metal so it doesn't feel cheap despite being so small. The video quality is acceptable for a DVR of this size and price and as good as it should be for its intended use (FPV). Playback is definitely the best feature for me and the interface is very simple and functional. Being able to see the footage in my glasses is very convenient. I wouldn't recommend using the video out for anything other than playback,

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

WARNING: Does not work, sold as is

I am using this mini DVR to record video from an old analogue camera. When I connect both ends of 3.5mm there is no picture. If I pull the cable out a bit, the best picture quality I can get is the attached black and white image {Figure 1}. After some searching on the web I was able to find instructions that state the following (no soldering): You will need: (one) AV-MALE 3.5mm three-pin AV cable (red, yellow, white with pins) (one) three-pin -AV cable 3.5mm AV SOCKET (red, yellow, white with…
