Works well despite other reviews.

I've read a lot of bad reviews about this product. Actually I tried to cancel it because of the reviews. It was sent early, arrived on time. Connected to the modem, plugged into the wall, the indicator blinked red for about 30 seconds, blinked green for about 20 seconds, the light stayed green. He was ready to go. I connected my laptop to the router, entered the IP address in ulr to open the router interface (bypassed the application, read here, it was bad), changed the password to wifi, all my

I purchased this product from Revain at the end of September 2020. The device started overheating and never cooled down enough that I almost expected it to catch fire at any moment. When I contacted support they informed me that the warranty is no longer valid as the warranty expired on September 25th 2020 which basically means that this device is out of warranty. When I bought this device I was told it was the best in the range. Now I find out they no longer make this "first class" product for

Waste of money: computers and accessories

I'll start by saying I never write reviews, but I often read them before I buy any products. Basically I'm a hypocrite, I know. I bought the AC3200 and the reviews were so-so. I've been using ARRIS modems for a long time and haven't had any issues with them, so I figured a router with its magical ripcurrent technology would be a great addition. Wow, it was too good to be true. My current setup looks like this. Arris Modem: SB8200 DOCSIS 3.1 Arris Router: SBR-AC3200P (pie of crap) Arris Magicโ€ฆ

WiFi keeps dropping out, don't worry

This router drops my WiFi connection dozens of times a day no matter what device I'm using. We connect via laptops, FireTV, iPhones and a game console. It doesn't matter, the connection always breaks off at what seems like the most inopportune moment. After using it for a week and losing my connection over 100 times we are sending it back for a full refund. Not only that, the thing is bloody heavy and ugly.

  • About

I have a third router. They don't last long and unfortunately my investment in hotspots means I have to keep buying these things as replacements. There's a reason a $300 router (ac3200) is only $40 or less. It sucks. Requires reboots at least once a day, DNS timeouts, horrible wifi, horrible form factor, it keeps crashing and gets very hot, I had to put a small fan behind it to keep it cool. Absolutely no firmware updates in years, for a new product that is over $300 this level of support is aโ€ฆ

The product is not endorsed by the company

In terms of Wi-Fi signal, this router is about what you expect for the price. Easy installation and setup was a breeze. the wps button also works. The two-star rating is due to the fact that literally NONE of the apps available from ARRIS for Android or iOS to manage your network actually work. You are also limited to using Wi-Fi extenders only manufactured by ARRIS. You can connect third-party extenders, but you'll never get them to work stably. The only interface to manage Wi-Fi extenders inโ€ฆ

Beware . ARRIS routers/extenders are terrible

The extender is rubbish and the only reason to buy this router would be if the extender works. ARRIS should sell this as a disposable router. because it's a waste of money. Very dissatisfied with the product and the ARRIS company. Your modem seems fine by the way. Learn from my costly mistake - choose NETGEAR ORBI.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine

I would suggest something else

I probably won't leave a bad review but this Wi-Fi router is absolutely the worst when it comes to staying connected. It has to be constantly reconnected, the average connection time is 15 minutes with a connection time of 1 hour, if I set the lease to 1 hour, anything beyond that results in the device having to reboot every 5-35 minutes. Yes, it restarts on its own, but trying to get it to work while trying to work was taking an incredibly long time. I can't tell if it was the router hardwareโ€ฆ

Great modem and router

So far this is working great and I LOVE not paying my ISP to rent their gear. When my internet was installed the tech said he was getting 425 Mbps (out of 500). I had multiple users on multiple devices and will have security installed so I will update any changes after installation.
