This is definitely one of the best sounding preamps at this price point and very versatile. I combined it with Avalon, which is much more expensive. This lets low volume mics like the Shure SM7b shine dynamically, giving them plenty of gain without noise, and bands would benefit too, particularly from the variable impedance control. Preamp, very clean on condenser mics. The measurement is excellent. The output can be tube-like warmth with digital purity, depending on how you're driving the amp.
