Love it! Love it! Love it!

I like it very much! Love it! Like it a lot! We've had a tall glass jug for years, but the area surrounding our 'new' apartment made things float in the air and end up in the jug, which we always filled with water from our filtration system. So we bought this pitcher as it has a closed lid that pours/pours easily. Although slightly thinner than the old one and wider at the base, it serves its purpose very well - easy to hold on the neck and pours freely and with pleasure. We had no trouble…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

In general, a trifle. But beware of the lid.

I was going to give this five stars but the only thing stopping me is the way the lid closes and catches liquid from the top. It seals well to keep liquid fresh, but when pouring, when the lid is closed, any liquid that is in the rim will flow back out and remain on the lid. I wiped it off with a towel. If you don't, it can get sticky and moldy on top. Potential contamination of the remaining liquid if it comes into contact with clean liquid from the jug when pouring. In addition, it's easy to…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

I brew hot tea in this carafe almost every day, then put it in the fridge overnight and drink cold tea from it the next day. It amazes me that you can pour boiling water straight into it and it copes with it completely. I've been doing this for the last 6 months until a few days ago the glass inexplicably broke while I was wearing it. Although it wasn't successful I contacted Artcome and they replaced it absolutely free under a 2 year guarantee. They responded to my message almost immediately…

Nice decanter! at Dining & Entertainment

Delighted to find this borosilicate glass carafe that handles boiling water with ease. I bought this carafe after my favorite fancy glass jug (made in Portugal) broke into pieces after pouring some boiled water in to make tea - oops! holds without problems. However, the glass doesn't seem that thick/durable, so I wouldn't put it directly on the burner to boil water. The wide base takes up a lot of counter/fridge space. I found another similarly sized borosilicate carafe sold at Revain that is…

Breaks too easily in kitchen and dining area

UPDATE: I initially liked this carafe and have However, gave her 5 stars, after a few days of use, it spontaneously broke when I put it in the dishwasher. I didn't drop it or hit it in any other way, there was no temperature change, it just broke. I wish they had made it with thicker glass and this would be the perfect product. But I honestly can't recommend a product that breaks quickly and without reason. waste of money. ORIGINAL REVIEW Looks very stylish and holds a lot of liquid. I like…

Cracked in less than 2 months

I need to update my previous review . You look beautiful. I bought 2 and love them. Today I filled them with filtered water, put them in the fridge as usual and left. When I came back a few hours later, one of them was leaking down and flooding my fridge. I usually leave some air between the top of the waterline and the bottom of the rubber waterstop. But today I think I filled it too high and as it cooled in the fridge the bottom of the jar cracked and flooded. Luckily it's just water, no wine

Pros
  • Stove Safe: Made from thin, light and strong borosilicate glass known for its low ratios and high heat resistance making it safe for use on gas or electric stovetops
Cons
  • I will add later

Nice item, suitable for cold water or hot tea

I have hesitated to use it for what I wanted to do with it: make sweet tea. As I poured boiling water into this fragile glass jar, I held my breath, thinking it would break. However, this did not happen. I've brewed sweet tea in it several times before using it to infuse flavored water and ended up leaving it in my bathroom for a glass of filtered water first thing in the morning. He'll come back into the kitchen in the summer, make me more sweet tea, and I can buy another one for the bathroom.

Pros
  • 1.65 liter capacity: This small and exquisite glass jug holds about 0.5 gallons of liquids such as water, tea, wine, milk, ideal for parties or regular use
Cons
  • thin
