Great bits in the store. I used one of the bits to cut two holes in a 1/2" thick plate of steel. The first hole was perfect, the second was more difficult to cut.

I bought an outdoor electrical box and powder coated it which kept the 1/2 inch hole from popping out. Got some bits and drilled a hole - thanks guys. Ps Use oil when drilling metal. And make sure what you drill is safe.

I bought these to use at work. I'm an aircraft sheet metal mechanic. I mostly use them on aluminum and they make nice clean holes. I love the large sizes it includes. I'm not sure if you can replace the drill bits when they get dull. Each comes with its own drill and container. I like them, they work better than the ones I bought in the store.

I bought these to drill through hardened steel and while the cutters themselves do the job the pilot bits unfortunately don't do the job, I broke three pilot bits on the first pass when the bit got stuck on the edge of the hole being cut in this case, it may not be suitable for "hand drilling" and better withstand the stationary drill.

These hole saws are great. They are very sharp and cut metal well. I had to cut 14 holes in the steel container to install the vents. I used a 2 inch hole saw and it worked flawlessly. I stopped about halfway and sprayed it with oil to keep it cool. The hole saw is still very sharp and will still make many holes. made my job a lot easier. Also a very good price for a great hole saw set.

I am just amazed at how well these saws work. Cuts through 1/4" mild steel like butter. The tool holds its edge pretty well if kept cool. You could probably push it harder with the right drill/bit setup, my little magnetic-based drill doesn't have enough horsepower to keep an eye on those bits! If I had one complaint, for stability it would be much better with a 1/2" shank than a 3/8" shank. I bought this set because I needed to drill some holes in thick sheet metal. There was a little more money to buy a set than to buy a single saw so I figured why not. They come in bags, each saw in its own plastic tube, with a threaded plastic cap. Each saw has its own center drill and Allen key for tightening the set screw. Cuts like a dream! Cuts through steel like butter. Bought this kit to drill holes in an I-beam I'm installing at my shop. With cutting oil and a cordless drill I drilled 12 holes in about 15 minutes without any problems. Go slow, use coolant, and the bit seems to have enough life left. Very pleased with how sharp the drill was and how well it cut. The spring worked well and spat out the metal stopper every time. I only had to unscrew 1 steel plug but it came out easily.
