No problems with Linux Ubuntu 14.04

At first I came across a very similar MSI motherboard, but the sound stopped working and the temperature sensors were somehow very inaccurate, they say it is very hot when it was barely feel warm. So I sent back the failed MSI board and switched to Asus. The Asus worked great right off the bat and the temperature sensors seemed a lot more reasonable. Memory I use: G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) Ripjaws X-Series DDR3 1600MHz PC3-12800 240-pin desktop memory model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM from Revain. Works…

Let the buyer be alert. in Internal Components

This is a great mobo, unfortunately not the one I received. To be clear I bought this board through the Revain Warehouse as they usually have the product I need at a much cheaper price. So I placed my order, time passed and yesterday I received the mobo. Joy! The box was clearly marked as ASUS M5A97 R2.0. but upon opening the box, the motherboard inside was clearly ASUS M5A97 *LE* 2.0. So what's the difference? Well, there are a few things to note, the most obvious of which is that the LE…

First of all I would like to thank ASUS for selling this product.

First of all, I want to thank ASUS for selling such a great board and reworking this old chipset to help us get new features. The pay is great! I just upgraded from Asrock Extreme 3 r2.0, the difference between these boards is day and night. The Pro 970 Gaming Aura has proven to be a great overclocking board. I've only had it for a few days and can't stop looking at my build, it looks so amazing and is faster than ever. This board uses a 7+1 power phase instead of 8+1, which shouldn't put you…

Before that *was* a good board.

10/04/18 edited; I bought this board on June 28, 2015. Since then she has developed a very uncomfortable handicap; it randomly freezes completely and *only* responds to the reset button. Even Ctrl+Alt+Del *doesn't* work. My original review [below] dealt with the circumstances of replacing my first cell phone. I still use CPU, RAM and other components for initial installation. I've seen several websites with troubleshooting suggestions including disconnecting drives and removing everything but 1

Best Internal Motherboard

This is one of the best motherboards I have ever used. It has smart overclocking software that really works. I read some reviews and decided to give it a try because the MSI FX-990 board I recently installed is a piece of crap. The ASUS board is much better and definitely more user-friendly with the accompanying software. The only problem I had was with the old MSI drivers. I couldn't remove them completely, so I had to reinstall the operating system. Not a big deal since I have all the backups

Pros
  • Looks Great
Cons
  • Useless Features

This is a working MoBo: Motherboards

I liked that the motherboard arrived on time and everything works. I bought a used motherboard and it had some minor signs of wear including noticeable paint chipping, one of the PCIE slots had a broken latch, probably because the previous owner tried to remove his GPU, he ripped it out and broke the tab. The broken tab doesn't matter to me as there are two slots that I can pop a GPU into and it works great. PC case so I think this PC gets some extra airflow. If you order this you will ONLY…

Great gaming motherboard

I have had very good experiences with this motherboard. It has many useful features that gamers love, like multiple PCI slots, four RAM slots, and multiple inputs on the back. There are about 8 USB 2.0 inputs and 4 USB 3.1 inputs. This is a huge plus for me as I don't like using the front or top of my case and use a lot of the USB devices I use. There are also plenty of SATA inputs, allowing for plenty of storage space (I store data and have a lot of games). One thing you should definitely do…

Pros
  • Wide range

  • No performance

I have used this motherboard on a total of 7 different computer systems that I have built in the last 1 1/2 years. The systems are also very different. of them) Windows 7 Ultimate (2 of them) and Windows 8.1 (1 of them). Some work with regular 1TB hard drives, while others work with Western Digital Blue 1TB SSDs. Some of them are 64-bit and most are 32-bit. And they all run on 6 core AMD FX processors and I've never had a motherboard run as flawlessly and well as this one. The booklet is well…

Good bang for your buck.

love ASUS products. It was a fantastic price for the options on offer. Paired with an 8320 Black & Corsair H1001 v2 octa-core water cooler and software overclocked from 3.5 to 4.4, it runs as stable as it gets at 52C. At 99.00 I just can't win. I currently have a 1070 and just don't see the need to add another. But I'm tempted to order another rx 480 and pair it with what I have in another box just to see how it performs. A: I don't think it's capped at 125W, so I don't think any of the 220W…
