Excellent battery life, ease of use

I bought this Chromebook for college use and a short break. I've had him for almost a week now. Pros: - crisp picture and high resolution screen - long lasting battery (I used it for about 6 hours straight and it only drained about 25% of the battery in low light) - light weight - compact, perfect for use on or on the Desk on my lap - Adequate processor, loads quickly Disadvantages: - The case/material isn't exactly durable, but that's to be expected given the low price. Haven't dropped it yet,

Returned item

I should have paid more attention to the reviews --- This thing only lasted a month and did exactly what others said it would in the reviews... Stop tuning in. Unlike my Samsung Chromebook I had before. This one was below average.

  • Worth the money
Cons

Some features are missing

We bought this for my son as a gift and it wasn't even running Chrome OS. When we turned it on, an error screen appeared to fix Chrome with our own computer. After spending about an hour installing the recovery system on a USB drive to connect to a brand new Chromebook to restore its operating system, we got an error. I'm under the impression that Chrome OS comes standard with the Chrome Book? As a result, I was very disappointed and couldn't get past the error screen.

There are better options, but long-lasting ones.

Before I start, I should add that I'm a huge Chromebook fan. I have a Chromebook as my main computer. I bought this and another computer for my siblings as Christmas gifts and now they think I have favorites. Why? Because another Chromebook feels better and faster despite the same price (the Acer Chromebook 11, if you want to be specific). This ASUS Chromebook looks cool, but the moment you pick it up and feel it flex under its own weight, you know it's too cheap. I was hoping to give both a…

Cheap and effective!

The sound is pretty decent, I think it was better than my big laptop I had before. Very easy to use, AppStore a bit slow but no problem. Battery life is good! I bought this laptop for college and so far I've been able to download Word and docs are available in the apps. Pleasantly light and very cute. I recommend this if you want something light and cheap! Of course, you don't get great quality for gaming or anything else. It's definitely made for typing, so perfect for a high school student…

Lots of PC for the price!

My 13-inch MacBook Pro is my usual everyday car, but I wanted something inexpensive and importantly small and light to take with me on a trip to Europe. than $200 and about 2 pounds, it fits the bill. The CPU, memory, and storage are enough for everything I want to do - Gmail, Spotify, Google Docs, surfing - without any stress or lag. Paired with a TeckNet Bluetooth mouse (also from Revain) I have a safe, portable and very useful travel device. And if it's lost or stolen somewhere along the…

Works well, light weight, easy to use

I've had this Chromebook for over 2 months now and it works great. Doesn't freeze, turns on every time I need to use it every day, great battery life and nice color. The only thing about the laptop is that it had a dent which I don't understand because it was bought new and it was very well packed in the box. The camera never works either.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Has flaws

Great budget Chromebook

I was looking for something to replace my mid 2012 Mac Book Pro that was having issues with the latest update. I didn't want to deal with it any more than I already had. Needless to say, I just wasn't a big fan of computers to begin with. So I started looking for a replacement. After seriously considering what I use my computer for, I settled on a Chromebook. I mainly shop online, occasionally jot down notes, watch Netflix shows and surf the web. Not needing anything super crazy, I found this…

Average Average Chromebook for average use

I wish I could give this Chromebook a 3.5. It's not as bad as a 3, but certainly not good enough to give it a 4. Believe it or not, this Chromebook got an Octane 2.0 (https://chromium.github.io/octane/) score of 10,798, which really isn't that bad. Remember that every Chromebook definitely needs a reliable and always stable Wi-Fi connection. Since this Chromebook doesn't have an ethernet port, I think you could buy an adapter to see how fast a dedicated ethernet connection would be (available…
