This monitor is very good with tons of features. They have a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz and a maximum resolution of 1440p. Response time is stable with no ghosting while gaming. I would give this 5 stars but my particular device is now having dead pixels and I have had it for literally 1 week. I won't even try to replace this due to the hassle of returning such large items.

I bought the PG279QM to replace my PG279Q. In my opinion, the display looks much better on the PG279QM. Colors are richer and blacks are darker. The gameplay looks really good and is very smooth. Viewing angles are decent, but you may notice a slight drop in quality at different angles depending on what you're looking at. The edges and corners of the screen itself are slightly dimmer/darker. This display is really good for what it does. Immediately after installation, the color settings are terrible. I managed to play around with the color settings to make it look decent, but I couldn't get what I wanted with the monitor settings. Fortunately, you can change the colors even further with my GPU (AMD 6900xt) software settings to get exactly what I need. If you have an NVIDIA GPU, you can also customize the color to suit your needs.

4 stars only because the first package arrived broken. There was a 2-inch strip of dead white pixels in the center of the display. Not what you want to see when you put that much money on the monitor! I spoke to Asus support and they recommended sending the monitor in directly through Revain and ordering a new one instead of repairing it. So that's what I did! The new monitor looks and plays great. It only took a few extra days before I could use it.

A week after assembling my new gaming PC, my 2015 Asus Rog Swift PG279Q accidentally cracked the screen. The PG279QM is a good monitor for 240Hz, but the HDMI ports don't work properly (unusable). Currently one has to resort to replacing a DisplayPort connector (and there is only one - two in the monitor would be the solution). Use good quality, high-speed HDMI cables, including the one that came with the monitor, and none of these will fix the problem. After about 2 months, the monitor stopped turning on due to a faulty power supply. I worked with Asus to get a new one but the experience wasn't great. It's taking forever to get an answer and I have yet to get a new power supply. The monitor is amazing when it was able to turn on. Given the speed with which my issue was resolved, most likely I won't be able to turn on the monitor for the next month. Any response to my attempt to get a new PSU takes 24-48 hours.

Spend your money on an Alienware QD OLED which I received and am using as my primary monitor over this piece of junk. TERRIBLE angles! Viewing it straight from the center, there are visible color and brightness distortions in the corners. It definitely CANNOT work well with HDR.

Before that I had a PG279Q which is essentially the first generation of this line. It took me a while to get used to all the settings and to find the right color that suits me. At first I thought my backlight was showing through, but there is a variable backlight option that I turned off and it's gone. It is not visible when you look at the monitor.

I am happy with the monitor. Model PG279QM. Backlit non-backlit (I'm not kidding. Did I win the lottery?) A beautiful monitor, if not the best I've owned/seen in terms of response time and instantly calibrated image. Hardware Unboxed was right that this product is worth it if you're willing to pay a little more - you only live once. I do not regret this purchase and will spend 900.00 again for it.

This Asus is great. I came from a 144Hz curved monitor. I have to say that 240Hz is buttery smooth and noticeable. If not for the price I would highly recommend it. Don't buy ASUS monitors. Mine stopped overclocking and switched to flashing the write pattern when it was off once the warranty expired. Now they charge $85 for diagnosis with no parts and you have to send it in for diagnosis leaving you with a couple of weeks and unknown actual cost. avoid them

Died suddenly, Revain didn't help, now I'm stuck in ASUS RMA limbo. Definitely a hardware failure as confirmed by ASUS.

I recently upgraded from a 2016 1440p 144Hz TN display and it's a HUGE difference in quality. Color accuracy is incredible and the 240Hz frequency makes gaming a breeze. Just in case, however, you need fairly powerful hardware to hit those frame rates in today's games.

Asus has been making monitors for a long time, the 6 year old monitor I was trying to replace was better, the quality control just isn't up to par.

I got two different devices, the first had normal light but 3 dead pixels. The second device had so much iP-Glow that blacks looked gray. I tried turning the brightness down to 20!
