Excellent but weak. - my new rating

We bought two and they are great monitors. They come out of the box and are extremely color accurate and require very little work from my calibrator. The only complaint is a very flimsy mechanism connecting the monitors to the base. They are constantly bobbing on my desk like heads with minimal movements like typing or moving my hand from the keyboard to the mouse. This is very annoying. If only they were more stable, full 5 stars.

Excellent except for the dark edge

It's a great monitor, but it would be nice if it didn't have the typical dark edge effect found on cheaper LCD monitors. That's my feedback!

Not for me. in my rating

I've been a loyal Apple customer for 30 years. For the past few decades (or more), I've relied on two Apple Thunderbolt Displays connected to a 2012 MacBook Pro or 2009 MacPro. I recently got the famous M1 Mac mini. IMHO the Mini has two major but forgivable flaws: 1. Few ports; 2. Inability to work with more than one Thunderbolt display. The first issue was fixed with the 14-port Thunderbolt 4 OWC Dock, the second took more time to figure out. I like a workstation with two monitors. It really…

Broken out of the box. I will update later.

Haven't been able to use this monitor yet as it broke right out of the box. This is due to the careless packaging. There is a bar at the base of the monitor that sticks up and has been pressed against the screen, damaging the LCD (or whatever it's called) underneath the screen. The monitor is externally undamaged. I will order again and update this review if I can test one that works. I know this happens but I'm just a little frustrated as I really needed a monitor to balance my old MacBook's…

Damn great performance

Picture quality and colors are excellent, 4k resolution delivers very high resolution on a 27 inch screen size. Although it makes the icons and text tiny as hell. The base is good and heavy, doesn't slide much, and the screen has a large height range and can rotate 45 degrees left or right without the base moving. For some people, the portrait rotation feature might be more useful... but even for those who don't use this feature, it makes plugging and unplugging cables easier. I also use it to…

Excellent ad. good for me

Bought for photography. Colors are accurate and the display is bright. 27 inches is a great size for my setup. There are many input ports. One cool feature that I find really useful is the accessible screen grid. I use it when adjusting the rotation of my images. (For some reason canon software doesn't have an alignment grid when rotating images...) I connected this to a Mac studio. (Didn't want to pay what a computer costs for an Apple display) This Asus is the best display I've had. -1 star…

Excellent calibrated and accurate color reproduction out of the box

Excellent calibrated and accurate color reproduction out of the box. Not the brightest, but overall an excellent and affordable option in terms of color accuracy.

Good office monitor

I was looking for a good 2k monitor for work. This one works very well for all my work related tasks. However, I haven't used it for intensive gaming. First, this monitor is very bright. I have a couple of other monitors that I bought a few years ago and this one is significantly brighter. This is great if you are in an area with a lot of ambient light, e.g. B. in an office with bright neon lights. I would buy again and recommend.

Not the best monitor for iMac

I wanted a nice 32" monitor for my iMac. I have a couple of other Asus monitors - a 24" ProArt that's about 10 years old and a 24" TUF gaming monitor. I wanted one bigger updated monitor for graphic design. This monitor isn't. I think it's more for PC/Windows systems. I couldn't get my iMac to recognize the monitor. Every time I booted my system I had to have a few Pushing buttons to make it work. Very finicky and unintuitive. The build quality of the plastic sheet under the monitor was very…

Great, but the monitor can wobble on the stand

Have two of these. I really like the color accuracy and brightness of this monitor. As someone who uses the MacBook Pro's retina screen most of the time, it's difficult to use the non-retina screen. But this one works fine. The refresh rate is okay. Nothing incredible paired with the latest 2022 MacBook Pro. The biggest complaint is that the monitor wobbles on the stand. Therefore, if you type a lot, the monitor may vibrate as much as the table. Not sure if there is a way to tighten it since…

Quality screen with good calibration but problem with USB-C

This is an excellent monitor with calibrated screens including DICOM which I found very useful. I tested the 32 inch version of this monitor with PerfectLUM and the factory calibration matched the DICOM curve exactly. The speakers are adequate, better than a similar LG 27V 4k monitor. Have 4 inputs for example as I have multiple sources and 4 USB ports. So why 3 stars? There are some issues with the USB-C connection. To get USB 3.1, you must first run the monitor at 30Hz over a USB-C…

iMac to Mac Studio in my review.

Read that it was one of the best for Mac studios. Sorry, I'm not going to spend $1,500 on the "cheapest" Mac monitor. It helps. On my iMac, clarity and color reproduction are top notch. I edit photos and work in Photoshop all day. Colors are spot on and rendered well. When I compare it to my real Macintosh monitor, it's almost identical.
