There are better options

I just received this laptop so I'm just sharing my first thoughts. So the weirdest thing about the Vivobook is that the speakers are on the bottom, so the sound is muffled. The keyboard has a "soft touch" compared to my HP laptop. I personally like the sounds of a keyboard clicking. The graphics aren't as sharp as my HP's, but it's not terrible. The numeric keypad is pretty thin, so start and end cues have been added to the 7 and 1 keys (hope I explained it right lol). Battery life is ok soโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Unreliable

Invalid update information specified.

Great value for money. However, I emailed ASUS to ask about the maximum RAM upgrade and if there is room for an additional hard drive. I was told it can be expanded up to 12GB and there is a slot to install an additional 4GB. If I wanted a larger hard drive, I would have to replace the one currently installed. As you can see from the photos, there is no slot to add RAM, but there is room for an additional hard drive. Even if you look at the specifications on the internet yourself, you get wrong

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Only available in black

save yourself; Do not buy

Almost a week after I bought the ASUS VivoBook 15 I wrote a negative review. My complaints: terrible screen resolution, slow processing, poor audio, keyboard sensitivity, and other issues. ASUS replied that they were "gutted" by the negative reviews and I deleted my post (I almost never leave negative reviews but I think I should do it for the Revain community). I learned to use this clumsy, poorly built machine. Today, almost a month after purchasing this device, the screen automatically turns

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Macbook vibes in conventional laptops

Honestly, the laptop is great! I bought a 1x8GB DDR4 Sodimm 2400MHz CL16 RAM kit to upgrade my laptop's memory from the original 8GB and I quickly discovered that the laptop comes with 4GB of RAM soldered to the motherboard, so you can only replace another stick RAM in a populated RAM slot that has a 4GB stick. So now I have 12GB RAM on my f512d Ryzen model. Also, the SSD that came with my model used a 256GB Kingston SSD, leaving an empty slot for a 2.5" SATA SSD or hard drive. Battery life isโ€ฆ

Honest review from a programmer/production user perspective

When I was looking for a laptop I didn't critique reviews because I thought it didn't matter, but when I saw reviews of this laptop, I got concerned did. about my purchase. I'll be blunt about what this product really is: the good and the bad. This is an honest and critical review of the ASUS VivoBook 15 from the perspective of someone who uses this laptop for programming and production (NOTE: I've only been using this laptop for a week).________Processor - Good. Very rarely do I notice a dropโ€ฆ

Fantastic value for money if you're not into gaming.

I originally bought this computer to program on the go. Let's get rid of the bad first. This laptop is in no way intended or advertised for gaming. You can get away with some older games, but forget about decent performance at decent graphics levels for something more modern. We're talking about Spyro: Reignited Trilogy barely hitting 60 fps at 720p, the lowest graphics preset. But it's impressive considering it's not a gaming laptop. Just meet your expectations. Pros: This thing is lightningโ€ฆ

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT (Read if interested)

This product appeared to be profitable. (ONLY 1 RAM SLOT) PLEASE NOTE: First of all, deceive. RAM Advertised at 2400 MHz: with misleading descriptions, ratings and answers. The first thing you should know is that after contacting ASUS, there are two possible motherboard configurations: one with 4GB soldered RAM paired with 4GB SODIMMs, and a configuration without onboard RAM and one with 8GB SODIMMs. I bought an extra RAM stick hoping to upgrade it to 12GB, only to find out I had an MBโ€ฆ
