good improvement - internal components

I used the built-in sound chip on the motherboard. Significant improvement in sound quality, user-friendly control panel. With the stock sound on the motherboard, I always got the power spike (not too high) that I heard while walking around the car (very annoying, but not harmful). Thunder is no more! I thank you for this

Budget card with great sound

I built a new computer from scratch. My old computer had a Creative Labs ZX sound card, but it died. I have chosen an alternative. Installation was easy and I love the user interface. As a first test, I decided on my "Beatles for Sale" CD. I plugged in my Grado SR80 headphones, tweaked the settings a bit and got great sound. I think it sounds better than my old Creative Labs card. I don't play, but I use my computer to restore the sound of 78s in my collection. I look forward to testing theโ€ฆ

Tried the built-in sound of Realtek ALC1220.

My motherboard (MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI) came with the Realtekยฎ ALC1220 codec. I really wanted to give this card a shot by plugging it into the Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 headphones. At first the sound kept disappearing when using Windows 10 with all the latest updates. Second, the sound was terrible and there was virtually no subwoofer effect. I tried downloading the Sound Control Panel from the Asus website, but this crappy program left a lot to be desired. I have to say that the return to onboard

Quality is poor for gaming and music

Firstly, I play and listen to a lot of music, so sound quality is important. It was easy to install and use, but the sound quality wasn't very good. I did everything I could to make sure it wasn't the sound quality, but everything I did fixed one thing and messed up another. FPS games require good to excellent audio quality, just like music. The quality of the music wasn't very good. There was a feeling that there was distortion when listening to music. I tried unsuccessfully to fix it so Iโ€ฆ

Nice board to fit internal sound cards

I bought this as I have to wait a bit to get my HT Omega card. But this Xonar AE not only sounds good, it looks good too. I had a little trouble installing on Windows 7 Professional, but only because I had to install a service pack. Then everything went like clockwork. Yes, it's almost 2019 and I just upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7.
