Paid under $20 and works great for what I bought it for. I have a Polycom phone that doesn't support call waiting, which means I can't see who's trying to call my second line during a conference call. Attached AT&T 438 to Polycom, everything works fine. The AT&T device displays caller ID information for number and name, and has a handy button to toggle between two calls - another issue that has been resolved, as Polycom basically freezes when I try to switch lines. The device has some nice features. When you're online, the right side of the device will flash bright green and emit a warning tone to get your attention when you're outside the room. Works like any other callerid device. THIS. When you receive a call, you can redial it by pressing the button. When you're online and an alarm sounds, simply pick up the handset connected to the device and press the call waiting button. I purchased this item from Wal-Mart for $35 2 weeks ago but have only had it a few days. When I first connected the box to my computer, it had an expandable wireless phone system attached to it. The box did what was claimed, but when I used one of my cordless phones to make a voice call, no caller ID/call waiting information was displayed.
