📞 AT&T CL4940 Corded Standard Phone: Answering System & Backlit Display in White Review

As my tests showed, the display is lackluster and difficult to read in low light. The backlight doesn't offer much improvement either.

Bought an AT&T phone with answering machine over a year ago. In general, the autoresponder works well, but it has two annoying features. We have more than one phone in our house. If you answer a call on another phone, the answering machine shows these calls as "missed calls". The second annoyance is that it doesn't seem to be able to handle Daylight Saving Time.
