Use it to light my pipe!

I love it! Perfectly lights cigars and pipe tobacco. I carry it in my whistle bag, it's quite compact and lightweight. It burns quite slowly, which is easy on my butane lighters. I have so much control over the flame.

Nice little device.

Working great. I could easily do it myself for a penny, but it was worth it just for the time involved. Be sure to crimp the flammable end of the string before lighting it. Gently pull the cord back into the metal sleeve to extinguish the flame. Leave the charred tip on the tip for easy re-ignition.

worked as advertised

so nice and light it took sparks. lightly curled the end of the cord, and in a few seconds my flint caught fire. just perfect for a small, simple, light fire on the go. Flint and this thing and I could start some legal fires instead of scouring the woods for natural tinder or taking disposable tinder with me. and replacing the cord is as easy as ordering a 6mm cord and coating it with canned wax, which you can even buy at Walmart.

Protects fingers outdoors

The whistle and a wick weigh 10 grams, making them very light. The device comes with 3 wicks and a very light hose. My Boy Scout son lit it very easily with a flint and even easier to put out (pull back the wick and the flame will go out as the wick enters the pipe). The great advantage of this device is that it keeps the flame away from your hand. My son nearly burned himself lighting the fire with his lighter (flame near the hold button) so the flame is lengthened by hand making the fire…

Great addition to the fire set

It's about the size of a birthday candle and just as light. A lot of people might say just use a candle, but I live in the Southwest and I'll probably need that candle and will find nothing but a puddle of wax. Best use it where you need it, or use a match but only with a ferrostick. to start a fire. Atomic Bear seems to be a good company too. The product comes with 3 9" jute twine wicks and a holder. In addition, the card shows both a link and a QR code to a video guide on how to use the…

So you don't know what you want.

Of all the tinder wicks I have seen or tried on Revain at my own expense. I bought three types of Revain and even made myself a Chaknut Boy Scout book (for use with flint and steel). This model features the thinnest jute rope less than 1/4" OD (OD). has the same OD as the Screwdriver Quick Connect Tool, which is a 1/4" OD tool. In other words, this model has more metal and less fuel. Not sure about the weight limits for minimalist day trips. Ask yourself what you expect from the product. It's…
