📷 ATOTO AC-4486 HD Waterproof Stealth License Plate Rear View Camera Review

Very impressed with the atoto rear camera! The picture quality is even better than the factory camera that came with my other cars. Installation will not be difficult if you know about cars. Even the bracket is hidden behind the license plate. The camera mount is easily adjustable to set the camera at the right angle. I have paired mine with an Atoto A6 radio but the camera should work with any aftermarket radio with rear camera capabilities. For the price you can't go wrong buying a camera!

UPDATE: This camera has failed after 2 months. Worked fine then just sent a black screen. From 5 to one star. No help from Revane either. PREVIOUS REVIEW - Excellent image and field of view. My new head unit has a number of "guide lines" that can be adjusted, and the lines that came with this camera proved devastating when adjusted. Maybe I can figure out how to remove the lines from the camera. Very pleased so far but we'll see how well it holds up on the road for a few years.

I would give this 4.5 stars. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the camera mount feels cheap. The camera has a very good picture and I had more cables than I needed. I hooked this up to my ATOTO year receiver and it works day and night with great image quality! and as for the shutdown, as per other reviews, I have not experienced anything of the sort. My only "complaint" FIRST was that the stereo had a power button that seemed to work better than the one on the camera, but to my dismay you can't turn it off. Installed the camera with A6 AToto system. The design of the chamber saved me from having to drill holes in the plate as it is held in place behind the plate. The camera has its own guidelines, the detail is excellent. We had an issue with the power supply for the reversing lights in the car, but I was surprised that the camera never had a problem even with 6V instead of 12V and the installer blowing the fuse twice. The real one broke here. I have an 05 Ram 2500 quad cab with a long platform (8ft bed) which is a really long truck and the wiring was long enough. I don't know what the other reviewer is claiming, but I doubt it's any longer than mine. Works well, has fixed distance overlays which is very annoying because they are weirdly sized. I really like the understated design of this unit, the hidden bracket behind the license plate makes it fairly unobtrusive and the U-bracket the camera itself is mounted can be bent to accommodate the Adjust camera angle up/down. Yes night vision works, just try changing the position of the license plate light so it isn't directly into the lens shine. I'd say the only issue I had was when the fog is outside of the lens fog, but all you really need to do is wipe the lens off before jumping in your truck. And to mount the 2004-2008 F-150 you must either insert the license plate screw into the camera mount or use separate camera mount screws, making sure the camera is behind the plate of course.
