picture is misleading. If he shows it with a lid, you would expect it.

Cover shown. That's exactly what I need. I didn't read further, I ordered 2 pieces. I received them today. To my great surprise, there were no lids. I can't imagine needing a battery box without a lid. I would have preferred Revain to send me the caps, but I haven't found a way to do so. So now I have to start over. I needed her fast. Didn't happen.

Surprised by holes in top cover

Purchased for use in 14ft open boats with Honda 25hp outboards. The two areas for cables to go into when the top is buckled should allow for adequate ventilation, but there are two coin-sized grilles that are directly exposed to rain and/or boating splashes that will eventually fill and flood the battery compartment. Not sure why it's designed that way, just have to check it often.

For my hydroponic garden

I have a hydroponic garden with a solar pack to charge a 12VDC battery instead of a 12VDC water pump. I need a way to secure and protect the battery when installed in a hydroponic system. This case fits well with the battery I had and is made of durable material. It comes with a nice strap and mounting hardware to attach the box to the structure. Has venting for my chosen lead-acid battery. I drilled a small hole in the bottom for the in and out of the wires to the battery (as well as the…

Great box but missing parts and useless hardware

Like other reviewers, I received mixed parts. With the first order I received two bottoms without a top with two sets of accessories. Called Revain and they sent another order for free. The second order was a full box. This is a very durable box. Perfect box for storing and mounting my son's battery on dune buggies. I used a 1" foam sheet inside for the pad and has aged the battery a bit better. The only downside is the buckles and straps are complete crap. I've used a ratchet strap and it…

Cell phone dry charger.

Great little box, quite sturdy with nice handles on the sides. There are a few small holes in the lid that I find inexplicable. I get a strap, holes in the side for wires, I can't quite get holes in the cover just above a connector. That's probably fine for many or most uses, but I'll think twice before leaving the box outside in the pouring rain. Actually, the unexpectedly large charge controller I got for his LVD messed everything up, but that's another story. The box is as it should be, just

You don't get much for the money, do you?

When the unit arrived I was disappointed to find that the lid was only secured with a seat belt. Then I noticed that there is no indication on the battery box as to where exactly the guides should be installed and it is physically impossible to install the guides as follows from the image in the instructions without significant modifications to the box. In addition, the supplied countersunk screws are so long that when the strap guides are attached to the outside of the box, the tip of the…

Very nice box but some notes

I want to make sure the reason I returned this box isn't related to quality. In my use I cannot have water in the box and there are small slips on the lid. Without these slots I would have kept this box. In other situations, slots are fine. The box is very solid and my Group 27 battery fits perfectly so thanks to the sellers for the description. One thing that can't be done is that with all the different situations this box will be in, they can't put any pressure on the drilled holes…

Well built BUT! - Boating and Sailing

Seems well built and suits my U1 group very well. With one exception, 2 vents point straight up. So when mounted on something exposed to the elements, the box will fill with water. You can just poke some small drainage holes in the bottom of the box, but I still don't want the battery and terminals getting wet all the time. I cut 2 thin pieces of plastic from the container and epoxy glued them to the bottom of the lid, then epoxy filled the top in the vent holes. The box has adequate…
