Description of 🔊 Audiolab 6000N: Cutting-Edge Wi-Fi Audio Streaming Player & Internet Tuner in Sleek Silver Design

The audiolab 6000N Play is a wireless audio streaming player and is the latest member of the acclaimed audiolab 6000 Series of components. Featuring DTS Play-Fi Technology, music can be streamed over your wireless network in high-resolution format and can be easily expanded to a multi-room system if required. You can stream from any source on your wireless network, including smart-phones, tablets or PCs as well as a NAS Drive. The 6000N Play is the ideal way to add high-performance wireless streaming to any home audio system The 6000N Play combines the versatility of the DTS Play-Fi wireless audio platform with Audiolab’s sonic know-how to deliver a great-sounding Wi-Fi streaming solution that is simple to set up and use. Users can stream from any source on their wireless network - smartphones, tablets, PCs and Macs, as well as NAS drives and music servers - utilizing the 6000N Play’s dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi. Providing access to a wealth of internet music services: Spotify, Tidal, HDtracks, Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Napster, TuneIn, iHeartRadio and SiriusXM, to name a few. Users might choose to browse a radio guide listing thousands of stations and podcasts, or stream from a home media server with DLNA compatibility. The 6000N Play is hi-res audio enabled, capable of receiving data up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution over Wi-Fi - well in excess of CD quality - without transcoding or down-sampling. The 6000N Play incorporates a high-quality DAC (Digital-to-Analogue Converter), utilizing the same ES9018 Sabre32 Reference chip found in the highly acclaimed Audiolab 6000A integrated amplifier. ESS Technology’s 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, coupled to Audiolab’s own circuitry, delivers ultra-low noise and high dynamic range. The 6000N Play is configured and operated via the Play-Fi app, available for iOS, Android and Kindle Fire phones and tablets, as well as Apple and Android smartwatches and Windows PCs. It can also stream directly from Spotify via Spotify Connect, and is DLNA and UPnP compliant. There are minimal controls on the component itself - just the standby button and a set of six’ preset’ buttons.

Simplicity. for TV and video

I am impressed with the build quality and the simple software that controls the device. The app is called DTS-FI and shows you the entire operation of the device. Station and station artist are shown in color. The product is well made and of very high quality. The device can play both 115 V and 240 V. Sound. clean, warm and punchy, you can hear very clearly musical strings for jazz or rock. The music that comes with each station is versatile, clear and punchy when connected to a subwoofer. How…

Quality sound at an affordable price

Very good streaming music player that delivers exceptional sound for the price. I hooked it up to a Peachtree Audio Nova pre and matching power amp. The use of the coaxial audio jack ensures rich and full sound. No matter what genre of music I choose, it offers an enjoyable and satisfying listening experience. Setup is relatively easy with the Play-Fi app. Once you've found a Wi-Fi signal through the settings on your tablet or phone and connected it to the network, the rest is very easy. When…

Not worth the money, too many bugs.

When you subscribe to Revain Music HD, it doesn't work very well. I don't know how well it works with other services. The Play Fi software it works with has more bugs than a Florida swamp. The shuffle feature doesn't work, you can't add songs to a playlist, and it keeps freezing when streaming 24-bit 192kHz music. Okay, you may think that I have a slow Wi-Fi connection, but that's not true. I get 300 to 400 Mbps when I have this setup. I also have a laptop connected via the same Wi-Fi…

It requires a bit of effort

Okay, let's be honest about this device. First, it sounds amazing. Second, it's difficult to set up, but that has more to do with the Play-Fi app, which they're improving as I write. There is something to remember. Read the setup information carefully. Buried in the user manual of the device shows you how to use WPS to make it easy. But here's the trick: if you have a VPN enabled on your iPhone or iPad, be sure to turn it off or it will never find you. Follow the instructions in the manual and…

Great streamer for my system!

The Audiolab 6000N streamer is definitely an audiophile product. I hooked it up to CAT 7 and coax to my NAD digital amp, which has a better DAC than Audiolab. I then used a Samsung 10.1 Tab A 2019 to join Revain Music HD Ultra (great deal if you're a Prime member) and downloaded the player software. Audiolab player software allows me to set Hi-Res output for Revain Music HD streaming. Ultra digital files (some of these files are in 24/192 format). It sounds really great through my system. My…
