Great for the price

Used for professional work. Ideal when a suitable vocal booth is not available. Works well and cancels out ambient noise in the room.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Faulty

Does exactly what it should.

I have a Kaotica Eyeball but wanted to try a cheaper one so I bought it. I recorded some vocals a few days ago and they were pretty clean. As long as you keep the front of any source too loud, it will deliver. Love it.

Just get it. About Accessories

I'm a professional audio engineer and I highly recommend this little isolation box. I use it when recording at AirBnB, hotels and other places where it is not recommended to record vocals. And for $100. This is not a problem! Much better than the shields which basically do me no good and I got them all and paid twice as much for them.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Annoying

Good, not great, but good for most

I have a very busy room, little furniture, no curtains, hardwood floors, etc. and I always have problems with room noise and natural reverberation. I also work with a singer who has a loud voice. So when she unplugs the mic, the audio in the room eats up (and ruins) the recording. , he lost his voice when she disconnected as Auray is literally a mic (meaning a pop filter), walking away is not an option. I ended up going with the ISovox ($1,000), which is a game changer, but if you're looking…

Pros
  • Simple design

  • Dull amenities

Save money and buy this instead of Oka

First of all I bought this for a different reason than most. I have a fairly large recording booth, it's finished but has a very large glass window leading into the control room. It also has parquet floors. That's how I found I got a real square sound when tracking, especially with the U87. So I added that and WOW. Problem solved. My singing sounds a lot more open now and my artist doesn't sound like he's in a box anymore. Now I'll say this: if they move away from the microphone, it will be…

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Some issues

The Auray ISO camera works very well in my opinion - I'm very happy with the sound quality. However, it's EXTREMELY difficult to set up in a way that it doesn't drag your mic out of position because it's so heavy. In particular, I keep falling (due to the weight) on the spot where the shock attaches to the outrigger strut mount. I bought a new shock mount thinking it would fix the problem, but the weight is so great that it ripped off the new bolt holding the new shock mount to the boom post…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Product was delivered on time next day as promised. Very well done. Much attention has been paid to the processing of this insulation. unit revolution. Mounting the microphone (Blue Spark) in its case was simple and easy. Due to the longer body of the Blue Sparks mic (typical mic styles, same results), it attaches to the shock base as intended. Fits like a glove. Sits on top of your shock and doesn't go anywhere even if you move it. Run it through three (3) different preamp sources to test mic…
