Got Want I expected

Having used them in Carrier fridges I'm not surprised at the price compared to the product. To be honest I bought them for the manifold, not the hoses. They leak through each o-ring every time you squeeze them. Constant tightening with channel locks. But like I said, I'm not surprised. Orings are cheap. BUT. The manifold itself is really good quality and is really everything I was looking for. When the rings get too annoying, I replace them with real ones from the snap-on truck.

Perfect for the price

I compare this to my yellow 3 way shirt manifold and line set I use on the R410 which costs three times as much. The kit is good, does not leak and behaves exactly as expected. For the price I can't imagine anything better. The clutches worked very well. Compared to the yellow shell, the hoses are a bit stiffer and the valves don't run as smoothly. If I need another set in the future I will get these and save money, the yellow jacket is great but I don't use enough of these for higher quality…

Good value for money.

I was hoping this would work as well as the standard Yellow Jacket brand that HVAC folks use. I'm a homeowner, not an HVAC specialist, and have to charge the central air conditioning myself due to the lack of HVAC specialists these days, long maintenance times and high prices. I was not disappointed with this gauge set. In fact, I put it away for a few days with liquid refrigerant trapped in it, which I only noticed by the little sight glass after I pulled the gauge back out. I noticed that no…

Very good quality first set of manifolds

I liked the metal handles and 4 connection points, I just installed a mini split system and connected it to a two stage vacuum pump to evacuate the system and everything worked fine. Note that most instructions for mini-splits assume you have a 3-way splitter installed (you don't want to cover the blue button on this set. For this setup, connect the blue (bottom) side of the gauge to an external mini service unit. Then connect the black vacuum connector from the gauge to your vacuum pump and…

Very well made and worked perfectly for my AC job

I have an old 1992 truck that had the AC pump burned out after 29 years of faithful service. I decided to upgrade to R134a as R12 is obsolete. One thing I read in other reviews is that banks with R134a cannot be connected. I had trouble understanding how it works, but the fitting is included and works great when you attach it correctly. A very nice feature is the separate hose (black), valve and connection for the vacuum pump. Many sensors don't have this and it's a nice feature in this set…
