Great shredder. We bought another one and replaced it with this one. Does not bite and is safe. My son with Down Syndrome likes to shred our important papers. We're not worried about his safety, that's sanity.

It's a little pricey but after kicking out one of the competitors after 6 months of very easy work I was willing to pay more for something with good reviews. It seems to work very well and although I've only filled the bin 2 times it has worked fine on power up, clearing jams and in auto mode.

Advantages: Very quiet. Breaks credit cards into small pieces. Time. Other paper shredders have this as a security feature. There is no easy way to line the bin with a plastic bag for easy disposal/recycling.

Four and a half stars. The machine works well and cuts the paper into such small pieces that it is very difficult to put it back together. It can hold a lot of sheets, even a little cardboard without much pretense. Easily cuts credit cards and CDs. Emptying is also easy. My only complaint is minor: I don't like how well the paper has to be aligned to get in the machine's "mouth". It slows me down a bit when I'm grinding. I know. Impressive.

My God! This car is amazing! He is very strong and very calm. The paper slot is very thin so you don't have to worry about something else getting in. You can put a trash can in the drawer! I was excited about this shredder as my apartment is littered with a pile of work papers. My personal paper shredder burned up when I started working from home, so this was a good option. Unfortunately, when I opened the thing and plugged it in, the "basket full" light came on immediately.
