Description of AURSINC 1 8 50MHz Automatic Programmed Unassembled

[LATEST VERSION] ATU-100 DIY Kits Preprogrammed with the LATEST Rev 3.2; The antenna tuner is automatically tuned without any control wires, Kit of ATU (automatic antenna tuner), suitable for most radio stations. The device contains a set of 7 capacitors and 7 inductors, which allows it (with the largest configuration) to work effectively in a wide frequency band, overlapping the amateur radio HF band of 1.8-55MHz. Mini shortwave automatic antenna tuner, Type-C charging interface, M seat, OLED display. Kit of ATU (automatic antenna tuner) developed by N7DDC, more professional, more stable and better performance. The operation is simple and easy to use, with an operation manual.100 watt tuner, based on PIC 16F1938, 7x7 (7 capacitors x 7 coils).Size: about 120mm x 62mm/4.72*2.44in. You can find all the information about the project on GitHub (N7DDC). If you have any problems, please feel free to contact us. Sufficient coil wire of 2.9meters/9.5feets in total for you to complete the kit: 0.8m/31.5in of 0.31mm wire, 2m/78.7in of 0.8mm wire, 0.1m/3.9in of 0.5mm.

Details Problem: Accessories and Consumables

The kit was of good quality apart from the missing capacitor and the leads for the diode being too thick to fit through the mounting hole.

ATU-100 Works - Accessories and Consumables

Once assembled the kit works very well. Few parts need to be soldered as most of the components are made in the SMD factory. Toroids need to be wound, but that's not difficult. The tuner can adjust the SWR in the range of 1.1. Good value for money.

Cons
  • Nothing Here

Get ready for more work than you expected.

The SMT resistor on the circuit board was missing in the first set. The second set was missing 78L05. I had a few of these so I kept the kit. Then I discovered that it was programmed with Rev 3.0 code. Latest version 3.2. So you need to buy tools to reprogram it. It costs more than a kit

Cons
  • Long wait

High quality materials if only it would work

The first device arrived and worked perfectly but the OLED was very unstable, sometimes turning on when the power was turned on, sometimes not. So I returned it. The replacement arrived and this time I spent less than 2 hours assembling it, I just installed the connectors, the 5V regulator and the electrolyte and the diode. When the OLED is installed, it should light up and display the home screen. The exchange ended in total failure. The display didn't even turn on despite the presence of…

Good alternative to Elecraft T-1 or Icom AT-705 for QRP.

This version of the AURSINC ATU-100 finally comes with enough wires for the inductors. I built mine for QRP 10W. Bring your own suitcase. As usual, for the price of this kit I can't even buy a relay. The assembly did not cause any difficulties, as all SMD parts are installed on the circuit board. Note that this kit differs from Icom or Elecraft units in that it does not use latching relays and therefore always requires current (typically 150mA at 12V) to maintain tuning. (It's possible but not…
