The handle fits perfectly. Installation took about 30 minutes. My tailgate has a liner and I had to remove it before attaching the handle. Very easy.

Now that it's installed, my tailgate opens better than ever. It's not the cheap molded plastic you sometimes get with products like this, but a much more durable and well-made plastic.

Very thin. The bar slipped out of the clamp after the first use and needs to be taken apart and fastened to attach the bar. I taped the old one back and left it as a backup. Stick the bottle cap over the lock hole to close it.

This tailgate handle was easy to install and has performed just as well as the OEM so far. The local dealer wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount to replace a broken handle. I found some YouTube videos on sharing and I'm glad I found this part helpful.

Replaces the previous handle because the small connectors in the handle that pull the rods to open the tailgate are broken. I had one a week later and the internals broke right away. I had to glue them on to keep them in place. I don't slam the tailgate.

Bought to replace an original that had just worn out. My daughter pulled too hard and the original broke. I don't have a shed and never plan on getting one, so I've never needed a lock. Drilled a hole for a 3/4 inch camera which I installed when I finally upgraded the sound system after 14 years.
